Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale
This December 2019 statement of Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale supersedes all previous issues of Standard Terms & Conditions, and is subject to change without prior notice. Any terms and conditions included in a customer purchase order that conflict with AMT’s Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale are null and void and of no consequence. AMT’s acceptance of customer’s purchase order does not constitute acceptance of customer’s Terms and Conditions. In placing a purchase order with AMT, customer hereby accepts AMT’s Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Standard terms are Net 30 days from date of invoice for all AMT customers who have been cleared for credit by AMT’s Credit Department. Payments other than by check, cash, wire transfer or ACH made subsequent to the sale date may incur additional fees. If terms are not approved, customer will be required to make prepayment for all orders. All items sold by AMT remain the property of AMT until such time that they are paid for in full. All purchases of Products and/or Professional Services made by customer shall be in the form of a Purchase Order placed by customer with AMT. Each Purchase Order shall be in the form acceptable to AMT and in use by each customer. Once ordered, special order, EOL, and non-inventoried products are not cancellable, and are not returnable.
Customer shall pay, and hold AMT harmless from, all applicable taxes and duties arising from the purchase of any product from AMT. If tax exempt, customer must provide a copy of a valid
Customer understands and acknowledges that certain charges, such as tariffs and other duties, are outside of the Company’s control and may not be known at the time of quotation or when an order is placed. AMT will add these charges, if applicable, to the price of the goods at the time of invoice and customer is responsible for and will pay these charges.
Orders will normally be shipped within 48 hours after receipt of purchase order by AMT, subject to merchandise availability. The selection of the carrier rests with AMT, and FEDEX Ground is typically used when possible. Freight terms are FOB shipping point. Freight will be charged to the customer on the equipment invoice, or on a subsequent invoice. All shipments will be sent insured unless otherwise instructed, in writing, by the customer. Customers that reject AMT’s shipment coverage (insurance), assume the risk of loss and/or damage.
AMT has a staff of skilled technicians to provide product repair service to its customers. In-warranty repairs are done at no charge. Out-of- warranty repairs will be charged back to the customer at a rate of $75 per hour (one hour minimum) plus parts. RETURN GOODS POLICY:
To return product, please contact AMT’s customer service department for a return authorization (RA) number at (954) 427-5711. All product(s) returned to AMT for any reason must have an RA number clearly marked on the shipping label of each carton, and be returned freight prepaid and insured. No COD’s will be accepted. RA numbers are valid for ninety (90) days from date of issue. Any package received at AMT without an RA number will be rejected and returned to sender. Products returned with missing parts will be repaired and parts replaced, and the cost for the missing parts will be charged back to the customer. If pre-approved by AMT in writing, all non-defective products returned to stock must be returned as new in the original unopened carton, within 30 days, and will be assessed a 20% restocking charge. Special order, EOL, and non-inventoried products are not returnable. Warranty returns may be sent back directly to the manufacturer if allowed by the manufacturer, or coordinated through AMT.
AMT provides loaners while products (any brand) are in for repair, at no charge to the customer. The supply of loaners is subject to availability. AMT will ship loaners freight free via FEDEX Ground to any location in the continental USA, but the customer must pay the freight back to AMT when returning loaners. Loaner products must be returned when repaired products are received back by the customer, and must be returned in the original packaging. Loaner product that is not returned at AMT’s request or within thirty (30) days of receipt of repaired/replacement goods will be invoiced to the customer.
Any warranty is limited to the cost to replace or repair product only. Warranty does not include any additional costs, including but not limited to costs associated with labor to replace the covered product(s). Product warranties are supported by the specific manufacturer’s warranty, which is typically one-year, but may vary. During this warranty period, AMT will, at its option, either repair or replace products which prove to be defective. This warranty extends to the original purchaser only and is not assignable or transferable. The warranty does not apply to any defect that AMT or the manufacturer determines is due to: 1) improper maintenance, 2) misuse, abuse, alteration, neglect, or improper installation, 3) act of God, 4) power surge, 5) accidental or intentional damage.
