The Pico Digital PDXT8 is an advanced IP transcoding system designed for use in digital headends. The unit is ideal for conversion of MPEG-4/H.264 program for MPEG-2 systems, or for conversion of MPEG-2 inputs to MPEG-4 for bandwidth savings. The PDXT8 can also be used for 1080i to 720p or 720p to 1080i conversion for improved compatibility or bandwidth savings. Audio transcoding includes AAC, MP2 and AC3 – any to any. HD to SD downconversion is also supported. The unit supports 4 HD input streams or 8 SD input streams. The input has 6 ASI input ports and up to 8 IP streams. The IP input can be MPTS or SPTS. Output is available as MPTS on ASI, MPTS on IP or up to 8 IP SPTS streams.

The Pico Digital PDASI-IP is an enhanced TS re-multiplexer with two-channel IP and ASI output for digital TV broadcasting headend systems like CONDOR. The multiplexer combines all the functions of a normal TS multiplexer—including program multiplexing, PSI/SI editing, PID re-mapping, service filtering, null packet removal, etc.— with eight ASI inputs, two separate ASI output ports, and one Gigabit IP output with two separate channels. The bit rate of each output stream can be up to 216 Mbps.
The Pico Digital PDATSC-IP series ATSC 8VSB to IP streamer is an advanced ATSC receiver and re-multiplexer used in digital broadcasting headend systems. The unit is ideal for the for injection of local off air ATSC programming into local digital cable or IP headend systems, like Pico Digital’s market leading CONDOR system. The PDATSC-IP provides six ATSC tuners and two ASI inputs. Each tuner or ASI input is de-multiplexed and available to either of the two output multiplexes. Any input can be selected to be included in any output multiplex. The two output multiplexes are available on both ASI (two each) or IP.

The unit features a flexible design and can be configured in a number of ways to suit specific end applications. The high-quality QAM output of the edge QAM is organized into 24 independent QAM channels, which can be placed anywhere within a 768 MHz span, from 36 MHz to 960 MHz. The IPQC24 supports up to four simultaneous CA systems and 1680 Mbps of IP data input.

The Pico Digital PDMUX multiplexer is a professional TS processor used in digital TV broadcasting headend systems like CONDOR. It receives up to 512 IP (SPTS/MPTS) channels and multiplexes the input programs into two TS stream outputs. The Pico Digital PD6IP is a high-performance MPEG-2 video encoder that encodes six composite video and stereo inputs into either MPTS or SPTS. Occupying a single rack space, the compact unit additionally offers closed captioning (EIA608).
