Advanced Media Technologies (AMT) today announced it has signed a channel partner agreement with Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU). Under this agreement, AMT will market, distribute and service Alcatel-Lucent’s IP Routing, Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Fixed Access (GPON / EPON) product to the Multiple System Operator (MSO) market in the United States. The agreement complements Alcatel-Lucent’s leadership in ultra-broadband access technologies and highlights its commitment to expand its customer base beyond traditional communications service providers. “The channel partner agreement with AMT is a perfect example of how two organizations with expertise in complementary offerings can jointly serve customers,” said Vijay Sharma, Vice-President Americas Partner Sales, Alcatel-Lucent. “These are the types of channel partnerships we are seeking with a select group of companies in a variety of sectors, and Alcatel-Lucent is looking forward to working with AMT to make additional inroads within the market.” Ken Mosca, President & CEO, Advanced Media Technologies said: “With a history of providing meaningful, cost effective solutions to our customers, AMT continues that legacy and is pleased to introduce Alcatel-Lucent’s innovative products and services to our customers. When combined with AMT’s strong value-add proposition, Alcatel-Lucent products are uniquely positioned to help our Tier 2 and Tier 3 customers deal with the challenges they face in today’s market.”

Advanced Media Technologies (AMT) announced today a DTA Direct Fulfillment Program for Motorola Digital Terminal Adapters (DTAs) where DTA devices are shipped directly from distributor inventory to the subscriber home or business location, by-passing the operator warehouse completely. This service drastically reduces operator costs by eliminating inventory handling and truck rolls to perform in-home installations, speeds up delivery by eliminating a segment in the delivery chain, and enhances the consumer experience as activation calls are no longer required by the subscriber. Building on strengths as Motorola’s #1 distributor, AMT’s DTA Direct Fulfillment Program service includes the complete management of an operator’s inventory of DTA devices. DTAs are allocated, prepared with branding and accessories, and readied for rapid shipment directly to subscriber residences or places of business. Information is received and transmitted daily with the operator on orders to be fulfilled, shipment data, and status. AMT maintains extensive on-hand inventory which addresses the risk of inventory outages, and manages shipping and tracking. AMT’s Engineering and Professional Services team provides integration and configuration assistance should the operator require such help. Recently, Tri-County Communications launched DTAs to reclaim their bandwidth. Our 550 MHz system was absolutely bandwidth locked. We looked at rebuilding, but with plant interruption and customer dissatisfaction, it just wasn’t cost effective. DTAs were the most cost effective solution for reclaiming bandwidth, said Mike Lightfoot at Tri-County. Tri-County benefited tremendously with the auto activation feature that the program offers. “We don’t have a 24/7 answering service with access to our billing system to activate the DTA hit and to look at designing a portal for someone to get into our billing system was too time consuming and expensive. The fulfillment program seemed to fit the bill. We didn’t need to have a 24/7 staff and we saved a lot of time on packaging, sending, and delivering the boxes. We didn’t have the manpower for that without doing a lot of hiring.” said Mike Lightfoot at Tri-County. When asked what ratio of customers requested a truck roll or cable office visit versus utilizing the direct fulfillment concept, Mike stated “I would say 60% of our customers benefited from the fulfillment option. We had greater than 95% self install success.” Motorola’s HD-DTA100u is a smart, simple solution for HD. The small device is an ideal solution for delivering HD to additional TVs in subscribers’ homes or for attracting new basic digital subscribers.

AMT (Advanced Media Technologies) today announced a broadcast grade live HD video streaming platform designed to quickly allow operators entry into the over the top (OTT) video delivery market to PC and mobile devices. The RayV powered technology is a revolutionary platform that significantly reduces the monthly streaming and operational costs with a powerful managed Optimized Cloud Streaming architecture. The optimized streaming platform is a complete end-to-end solution, with all the features of streaming, back office business rules, targeted advertising, billing, DRM, adaptive bit rates, real time monitoring and control.
Operators can provide HD TV over Docsis, Fiber, DSL and wireless network (WIFI, 3G, LTE) devices over IP anywhere, anytime. The revolutionary technology, based on RayV’s patented Optimize Cloud Streaming™ technology and its distributed nature, creates a unique and significant advantage in quality, reliability, scalability and efficiency in IP broadcasting. The solution provides over 80% greater network efficiency compared to any other streaming solution, reducing the capital expenditure by up to 10X – all in a managed network – allowing for business strategies and broadcast level of service in extremely large scale.
AMT’s platform empowers operators to generate significant additional revenues by providing new online video (OTT) services to its existing customers, through devices including PC, mobile devices, game consoles, STB’s and slates, and to extend their content offering to local and niche programming not currently carried on the network, without significant bandwidth requirements, all with a reduced time to market.

Advanced Media Technologies (AMT), one of the leading large broadband electronics equipment distributors, has moved to a new 50,000 square foot facility in order to accommodate an ever-increasing customer demand from its broadband service provider clientele. Located in Deerfield Beach, the modern standalone distribution facility will significantly expand AMT’s engineering, stocking, and production capabilities.
While the company’s new facility may be a short distance from its original location, its management sees the transition as a very big move for AMT’s standing in the marketplace.
“Our customers have come to depend on AMT for the shortest lead times and expert technical response on a variety of brand names,” says Ken Mosca, AMT’s President. “This new state-of-the-art distribution facility will help ensure that our customers are provided the high level of service and technical expertise they have come to expect from AMT in an increasingly technical and complex marketplace.”
Beyond additional space and a building that is 2009 Miami Dade code hurricane hardened, the climate-controlled warehouse is eco-friendly as well, with lighting and equipment that is Energy Star compliant.
In conjunction with the move, AMT is also upgrading its ERP system in an effort to strengthen logistical efficiencies and its overall customer experience.
